Note: This volume includes text contributions by G. Mumford (introduction; site
345; site 346; other sites), R. Hummel and G. Mumford (pottery), Stanley Klassen
(petrographic analysis of the pottery), D. Donnelly (shells), L. Pavlish (mapping and
coring), S. Parcak (satellite image work), and M. Chartier-Raymond (1991 CNRS survey work
in El-Markha Plain); other contributions may be added by May 2004. The volume will also
include plates of plans, sections, artefacts, all the pottery, and selected photographs.
The back of the volume will contain a pocket with a CD containing all the original
excavation records, top plans, sections, artefact drawings, photographs, and other
materials, allowing researchers easy access to all archival records.
